We are thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. Semmi obviously has a wonderful loving family and this is no doubt helping her through. You are very lucky to have such a caring vet, I choked up when I read that its the sweetest thing Ive ever heard. Cuddle kiss spoil your girl take lots of photos and know that when its time she'll let you know. In the meantime just love her the same. Hugs Erin and Dakoda

Good morning all!
WOW...we had a good night last night....she slept all the way through. Oscar woke everyone up at 5am to go potty, but otherwise, it was peaceful.
She is doing fine...other than some swelling that is starting to show up around her middle. I do not know how much fluid she is retaining, but she is going to potty really well and often. Hubby and I are going to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesnt get too bad.
She is still panting heavily, but is eating and drinking well and being fairly active.
Im really glad she seems much more comfortable.

I'm happy to read that Semmi had a restful night, and that she is relatively comfortable. Eating, drinking, hoping playing little too are good things. No doubt in my mind that the love and strength of your family is helping her, and that she knows it. Semmi, you are an inspiration, and a fine example of the indomitable boxer spirit. Hugs.

So glad you and Semmi had a good night. Rocky and I were up and down ALL last night. Rocky does the heavy panting also...the vet said it is just stress on his body from the cancer. He seems to do it more at night after I give hime his previcox (not sure I spelled correctly). Sometimes his breathing is so labored and the next time I am checking to make sure he is breathing. Our vet said with the bone cancer it normally spreads to other parts of the body but the lungs usually go at the end.. so I try to listen to him breath. It's horrible to watch him and his leg breaks my heart. You said it right in one of your post...that the tumor looks so mean and ugly. But he still eats, wiggles and snuggles so as long as he does that we will continue on. Our vet said the same thing that if his present medications is not working then we need to consider our final phase. I just can't imagine that day. I sometime hope I am not being selfish by keeping him but everyone says he will let me know when the time is right and I trust these people. They have been here for me the past year and I don't know what I would have done without them...My prayers adn thoughts are with you each day....Rocky & Mom
