Completely Boxer Crazy
I am so sorry to hear about Brock. Losing our Boxer boy was one of the hardest things my husband and I have suffered. We have both each lost a parent which is also a horrible thing but when we lost our Tigger it was like a piece of our hearts went with him.

In time the tears and pain will ease but that part of your heart never returns. Our boy was three weeks past his sixth birthday when we had to put him down because of lymph node cancer.

I cried for weeks. I slept with his favorite stuffed pig every night. I am in my forties and felt like I was a child. I was embarrassed by my behavior but I could not help myself. For us, it was like losing a child.

We still have days when we call our Woody by Tigger's name. There is not a day that goes by that I do not wish that he was still here. There will never be another dog like him. However, he will live forever in our hearts.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. For me, hearing the stories of other peoples losses made me feel normal. I wish our dogs could live as long as we do. May they all leave footprints on our hearts.

With sympathy,

Boxer Insane
I am sobbing as I read your post. I remember when I had to let my beautiful girl Abby to the bridge. I held her in my arms while she took her last breath. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. She has been gone 6 yrs now but I still think about her alot. I know she is running pain free with all of our babies at the Rainbow Bridge. I'm sure my baby girl was there to give Brock slobbery kisses. Godspeed sweet angelicon....Hugs Linda

The pain eases, but it doesn't seem to really go away. Just remember that he is pain free and running at the bridge just waiting. I am so sure he has many boxer buds with him running and being happy! I hope that my Lucy is running care-free with him!
Love to you and hope the pain eases.

I finally can get myself on here and write to update you all. What a long hard hard past few weeks this has been. We had Brock cremated and it was the best thing I could have done. Needless to say...Brock is back home where he belongs and we have an angel amongst us. My heart still longs for him...I doubt there will ever be a time when it doesnt. I still have those moments where I realize "oh my gosh right about now Brock would be....." depending on what I am doing at the time. Those are hard moments. Alot of things have been bittersweet latlely. We got Bindee in November so we had her.... and about two weeks ago we got a "Milo"....he is a white boxer. I think he needed me as much as I needed him. Bindee is in hogs heaven because Milo and her are only 2 months apart.....needless to say....every moment of every day...one of them has us cracking up laughing. Those are the moments I say all the pain of losing a dear loved pet is worth it....what joy they bring. So I just wanted to let everyone know we are hanging in here. Everyday it gets a little easier and the memories dont stab me so deeply...
I actually now have laughed about a few instead of dropping to my knees crying. Thank you SOSOSOSOSOSOSO VERY MUCH for all of your thoughts and prayers....they were so needed. Godspees Brock....you'll forever hold a piece of my heart sweet boy!
