Hello everyone,what a great board.
I found a boxer over at my friends a week ago. Nuetered male, brindle, very large. I have had boxers for over 10 years. I had a male his size and he was a big baby. I brought him home because they would not keep him and he was going to get hit by a car. They live on a major highway. I am surprised he made it across the highway to us.
So I tried to bring him in my home and things were not to bad until two of mine were wrestling as I was letting them out the back door into the backyard and he turned around and bit me. I have never had a boxer do this and I think he may have thought I was being mean to one of the others who was making so much noise. My ten year old white male does not like him being here at all.
I have a small grandson who is here alot and I am afraid for him to be around him now.
I have him in a heated kennel that runs into our garage so he is safe and warm but I am sure lonely. My DH gets him out and walks him and plays with him,but it is not fair to him.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do with him. He deserves a good home with a family to love.
I have hung posters, called vets, radio stations, newspapers and even people I know who have had boxers to see if anyone has been looking for him. Nothing. I am afraid he may have been dumped. Maybe someone thought he was too agressive. He would be perfect in a calmer home I am sure. He also seems to love men more then women. I probably would not trust him around children for awhile just to see how he was going to be.
Any ideas? TIA
