JOe leaves today. He has to be down in Indy by 7:00 pm tonight. I don't want him to leave. I will be back on the on the board after 10:00 tonight. E-mail please I will need to talk tonight.

Well Joe's Gone. I couldn't sleep last night at all. I miss him so much. We had a good day together. He said he will call from boot camp as soon as he gets there. It will only be for about 30 seconds though. I still can't belive he is gone.

:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( i slept with my boys last night. I just couldn't sleep by myself. When he called from boot camp, I know that he was scared. It was just the sound of his voice. I can't wait until he gets down with this.

When I was born my father was out on deployment...and most of my young life. When he was on the ship he used to write in a journal like he was writing to me and gave the journals to me later on in life...I always thought that was the best gift ever!

Military life is hard...but you get used to it, because you have no other choice! Soon enough you will get used to it...even though the hurt of them being gone so much doesnt go away much...

The journal is a good idea

Shannon -- My grandfather kept a journal when he was stationed in Italy during WWII. We found it in 1987, and enjoyed seeing what life was like for him during the war. He wasn't much for younger children, but I imagine if he had lived to see the three of us graduate from the same high school he did (I was sixty years, almost to the day after he graduated), he would have really enjoyed us.

Jamie -- Hang in there...before you know it, he'll be done with boot camp. You've already been through boxer boot camp, so this can't be much harder. :D You'll find plenty of support among the military wives and other groups on base, post. etc... Good luck and God bless.

Well , I am doing better today. I did get some sleep last night. I have been writing alot to him. I try to keep busy,so I don't fall apart. Someone has to be there for the boys. I just wish this was all over and he was home.
