I bought a Dyson on Friday night! I have a 15 month old Kenmore that was purchased 2 weeks before I decided to get a dog. Very nice vacuum, but I was feeling as if there were Tae hairs everywhere. I did a bunch of internet research on the Dyson on Thurs night. Read all the posts on BW and on the amazon.com website (vacuum reviews). I ran across a handful of bad reviews, but the rest were glowingly good. Soooooooo, got out a 20% off coupon and went to Linens and Things. When I asked the manager if I could use the coupon, he asked if it mentioned Dyson. Though I had scoured it before, I hadn't noticed it did. I said to they manager "hmmmm, maybe I'll just hold off until I get a coupon that allows this purchase." My plan was to get back in the car and drive to Bed Bath and Beyond to use the 20% off coupon I had for their store. Well, the manager said "that's OK, I'll run the coupon through" and he did!
I bought the basic Dyson, the yellow one. No special pet hair attachments. My thought was with superior suction, I should be able to pick up dog hairs without trouble. The vacuum does work well. I had vacuumed the living room on Thurs night and day later, it still picked up plenty! It was more quiet than my Kenmore and moved very easily across the carpet. I vacuumed upstairs on Fri night and again yesterday. Just couldn't resist!

I want one really bad,too! Dh is getting tired of hearing me whine about it 
I talked to Boxerhelper/Amber after she got hers. She loves it and said that she couldn't stop using it. It's time to retire my Eureka and get me a Dyson!!

I'm on my second dyson now. First I had a DC04 Absolute upright and now I have a DC08 Animal cylinder.
I think it's great on carpet and hard floors - I love it. Can't beleive how much dust is created in the house.
My sister is in NC and she just bought a DC11 and says it's great too.

Duty tax would probably KILL coming back over the border. I learned that lesson coming back from NY.. I didnt know if someting was made in another country and sent back to the states it would cost more duty. My 40$ shirt ended up costing me about 55$ after crossing back over.
Jans right though Ive never seen one of those here
**Just searched sears.ca and found nothing bu the walmart website shows they sell them not sure whether thats just in their American stores or not and its not a dyson "animal".

Bad News - New BBB 20% disc excludes Dyson!
I got my Bed Bath and Beyond coupon in the mail the other day and my tax return the next. I was SO excited! I was on my way to get my Dyson based on mancin's recommendation. Much to my dismay, they now have fine print that reads, "discount not valid on...Dyson products." :( Booooooo!

Try it anyway. When I was trying to find coupon codes online (which was unsuccessful btw!) I came across a couple stories where they were still able to use the coupon.tesster said:
I just got the Dyson animal tonight. First thing I noticed is it just snaps together, SO easy. It's lightweight, quiet, actually cleans along the baseboards and it got EVERY SINGLE white dog hair off my dark green carpet. I love my vacuum! For anyone who lives by a Costco, they may carry it. I got mine there for 420.00. My husband HATES dog hair on things and he was very impressed. Never though I could like any vacuum so much. It really is worth the money. I think I may be nuts but I was actually excited to go home and vacuum....NEVER thought I'd see that day.

I just got my dyson DC07 animal too!!
Back in november I bought a hoover that could do a whole flight of stairs without having to carry it up and down. Living in a 4 story house I thought this was great. Well its broken down 4 times been out of action waiting for parts 6 weeks, Had 2 engineers work on it and I'd had enough. They gave me my money back no questions asked, had to wait in the store for almost 2 hours as they were short staffed. Any way chose the dyson as a replacement, and they gave me £100 pounds off as a gesture of good will!!!
