I have the most spoiled or neurotic Boxer ever!

Snoopy used to drink out of his bowl but now he simply goes upstairs to the bathroom and barks for us to turn on the tub fawcett!!! And the even funnier part is that he only does it at our house...when my parents watch him, he drinks right from the bowl they have for him and their chocolate lab! He definitely has us trained well!

Sally drinks out of her bowl just fine but she does enjoy sticking her two front paws in to splash around...

I just got my Daisy last night so I'm not trained yet... but I have no doubt it won't take long!! She is an amazing little princess!!

No toilet water drinkers here.

Our first boxer boy was terribly posh and would only drink fresh tap water - no toilets, streams or puddles for him.

Sophie drinks water from anywhere - her water and food theory is eat and drink as much as you can whenever you see it.

Dino's party trick when he's water bowl is empty is to lie with a paw either side, his head in it and bangs the metal bit on his collar on the side to let us know he wants a refill - not annoying at all obviously

My Kaite will knock the bowl over and toss the ceramic bowl around the kitchen until I fill it up again. Drake on the other hand will ask you to let him outside (by body slamming the sliding glass door :eek: ) so he can get a drink out of the outdoor bowls. :rolleyes:

One of my foster babies (Radar) use to try to get the "paw print" out of the bottom of the bowl. He would drink down the bowl so that he could tilt it enough to paw at the print. :D Crazy Puppy!

jessie's collar clangs against the stainless steel bowl when she eats and drinks... so i know shes there if im not in the room!!!

Maggie sticks her entire head in the bowl to drink... and then walks away completely soaked almost always bumps her head into someone and gets them wet...

I wish Liza was picky like your boxers...she will only drink flavoured water...and even then it's like pulling teeth. I cannot figure out why she won't drink water. I have tried filtered, non-filtered, cold, warm, full, not-so-full, fresh, not-so-fresh. I have had some success mixing in yogurt or applesauce (but it has to be really concentrated). Normally I wouldn't care but we once thought she had a bladder infection because her urine smelled so bad but it turns out she was severely dehydrated. Everyone says if she isn't thirsty I am sure she is fine...she will drink when she needs it....NOT! We also use a stainless steel bowl. We have tried the hose and shower sprayer and she has already gotten bored of that. What a beepin' princess! It is soooo frustrating. I have taken to syringing her water sometimes. And there is no way she is going to drink from the toilet...I have taken too many biology classes to allow that many germs to get around...

Yeah, have one of those cat's too, although he won't lean down and drink. Instead, he just sticks his paw in the water and drinks from his paw. He's 16 yrs old though, so he can do whatever he wants regarding water.

Yes, I have to agree. When the vet told us Butters was showing the early symptoms of CRF, I took her advice and got one of the water purifying water bowls. He won't touch it. He'd much rather drink out of Matilda's bowl.

Jet will only drink out of the toilets or a running water hose. Must be something bred into boxers
