I have a strange boxer...

When I go away on business trips I usually bring him to the Pet Resort. Well this time daddy was home, so he stayed with him. Tug's would sit at the window and watch for me all day long. My hubby is like he MISSED you SO much. He would just sit on the couch and stare out the window looking for mommy. He would also go in my closet and smell my shoes, and sleep on my pillow.

It was heartbreaking to hear that. maybe he is better off at the Pet Resort when I am gone. At least then he doesn't know that I am not home...

That is so cute. Atleast you know that he has a good time at the Pet Resort!

Cody used to do that when I went out of town. It drove my bf crazy...Cody was technically his dog first! Cody would sleep in the dining room right by the garage door and wait for me and he is usually in bed with us. He would also sit in front of Jon and whine!

Of course, it made me feel good, but the poor daddies and babies!

fortunatly ive never had to leave him overnight but when im out dh says he just sits at the window. we have a bay window and theres a sofa in it so hew sits up against the back of it with his head resting on the back of the sofa watching the direction i left in (even if ive been gone an hour) until i come back to such a welcome!! (he does it with me too when hes away but thats our little secret!!..)
theres a shop accross the road and down a but from us.; when one of us goes there bails stands up as tall as he can to watch us walk all the way over, aqnd he stares so intently at the shop (or what he can see of it) unitl he sees him, then he follows you the whole way over until you reacj the gate. once he knows your comin in he sprints to the door to greet you!!
its just total boxerness!!

sinbad waits for me to get home from work it is like he knows what time i come home because my son says he will go to the garage door and wait, sinbad and sierra mope around the house when i am not there and when the front door is open i can see in the house and see sinbad on the couch staring at the door. sinbad sometimes wont eat if i am not home, poor babies wish i could stay home with them all the time...

That's so sweet, the way our babies pine for us. It happens at our house too. I almost feel guilty going to work, because my husband says Grunt goes into a mini-depression when I leave in the morning. He sulks around most of the day until around 4PM - - do boxers have a sense of time? Then he sits or lies in front of the door and waits. Now I don't get home until around 4:30!! When I hear all this I feel really bad. :( Walking in the front door I get met by pure love - it makes my heart sing. But I still wish he wouldn't be so unhappy when I'm not here. My hubby is starting to get a complex.

definatly right about the sense of time thing. we both get in around 5 30 pm. every single day without fail baileys upstairs looking out the window with his chin resting on the sill watching for us. if one of us happen to come home at a different time hes always in bed sleeping never at the window. neighbour says hes there from about 515 or 520 assuming the position!!!
