i think i'm emotionally more dependent on my poor dog than the other way around
am i the only one who is the clingy one in relation to my boxer?
i probably need a therapeut
I can't help wanting to kiss and hug Pepik every time (almost) I pass by. he is just lying there and practically never asks for affection except for when i want to see a movie - then he brings his toys...
It's just so hard to stay away from him because he's so unbearably cute.

I try to keep in Caesar Millan's rules for a happy dog
1. exercise
2. discipline
and only as no.3! affection.
It's hard. but i struggle.

If Pepik was a chihuahua I'd probably carry him everywhere I go, poor pup. I feel silly but this is how i feel.
Is it true that rescues are more clingy because they are afraid of being abandoned. Pepik is not a rescue so i wonder if taking love for granted because it's available for free all the time is a trait that is typical for non rescues who have it all from the beginning.haha

DH and I are constantly kissing Tyler, we can't help it! When we are playing tug, we have to kiss him; when he is sleeping, we have to kiss him; when we are brushing him, we have to kiss him, you get the idea...I think it's that face, it's just so KISSABLE!!! Tyler loves to lay all over us but i do think he gets annoyed with all the kisses. He tolerates though and it's a good thing bc i dont think we can stop!!!

And here I thought I was the only one! Goodness I think Asia gets tired of me giving her kisses, too! Seriously! She gives me the boxer 'hummphhh' ... I have said no to numerous things so that I can stay at home and snuggle with Asia! Hehe! It comes with loving a boxer!

What's funny is, my dh will literally hold our babies faces (kinda cups their cheeks) and presses his lips against theirs and just hold them there. AND THEY LET HIM! It's really quite funny. If he presses to hard, they give him the sneeze. Then our boy will take his foot, wrap it around dh's neck and hold him there while he kisses him back. He will have such a grip that he leaves his toenail prints in his neck. I love their kisses, and love to kiss them too!!

i feel the same way haley! we never go out (hardly) anymore, and if we do, my mind is always on the boys... what are they doing, do they miss me, i miss them, i need to be home getting lovin's from them, etc... i'd rather spend time with my dogs than with some of our friends... isn't that sad? i stay home SO much more now that we have them, because i hate to leave them.... even to go to work! the boys do tire of kisses (well, maybe not) i love to rub their ears, b/c they look at me with those lazy eyes like it's the most relaxing thing ever! i give them kisses on the lips, but i have to be careful... maximus is a licker, so if i kiss his lips for more than a second, he tries to lick me!! sweet boys!

I'm certainly happy to hear I'm not the only needy (of my Boxer) person! It concerns me sometimes how I have to know where my Grunt is every minute, what he's doing, have to have my hands on him when I get close enough to him, and how I almost cannot bear to be away from him (I too have a limited social life, and if I have to run errands, I rush just to get home to him. My husband thinks I have a problem! :D

I only work part time but during that time I am thinking when will I get off so I can go see Max and Riley. I wonder the whole time what they are doing. My kids can't believe I kiss both of them.
