Yeah!

Isn't it just the greatest natural high you can get? I "sprung" my first boxer a couple of weeks ago - this poor baby had bones showing I didn't even know dogs had! I talked to her the whole way to the next pick-up and felt so emotional the whole time - sad for her past, but so excited for her future and grateful that I got to be a part of it!

Yes, it's pretty amazing, and I feel lucky that I got to be a part of the experience. Right now Henry, Chewy, and Stella are all asleep in the living room. He seems to be doing a little better. I've been told that introductions are often a little rough with a foster, and that it can take a day or so for the dogs to get used to each other.

Oh, and by the way, he is not deaf contrary to what we (and the shelter) originally thought. I'm very happy about that because it will increase his chances of finding his forever home sooner rather than later. We'll know in the next day or two if we will foster him or if he will go to a different foster home. I can't take the risk of him being aggressive toward Stella, and we just don't know enough about his personality yet. She's still a baby (well, ok, she's 6 months old) and I have to protect her.

Is there any way that I may see a Picture of Henry soon. I've been looking for a new dog since my Oscar died. I live in Bakersfield, CA and finding a boxer is becoming harder and harder. E-mail with any news XXXXXXX

I see you are new, if you go to your usercp button at the top, there is an area where you and Chewy's mom can get in touch privavtely, I would bet she will send you info today! Good Luck in your search!
