Chewy's Mom
Boxer Insane
As some of you know, I recently started working with Nor Cal Boxer Rescue. Well, this morning I drove down to Stockton (about 45 miles from here) to check out a white boxer boy in their Animal Control Shelter. He seems to be deaf, and we can't quite tell how old he is (maybe 3-4 ?), but he sure is a sweet boy. He's at the vet right now getting shots, check-up, etc. He's in pretty rough shape - very skinny and dirty with chipped teeth like he was trying to bite his way out of a cage or something. He had already been neutered, and was an owner surrender to the pound. He hated being in that cage, and loved riding in my car!
If we hadn't bailed him out, he would have been killed today. He was actually supposed to be put down yesterday, but they held him for us. Nobody there knew what his name is, so I named him Henry. I'll bring him home in an hour or two and give him a bath, and I hope he gets along well with Chewy and Stella. If he does, then we'll foster him. If not, I guess there are a couple other possible foster homes lined up for him.
