My guess would have been dirt that rubbed between her toes. And especially if she played so hard that probably made it worse. Just wanted to make a suggestion for wrapping her feet- I use it on my horse. It is called Vet-wrap. There are other names for it and you can buy it at a grocery store. It is the bandaging that sticks to itself. It feels kinda spongy. If you buy it at a feed store or any equine store it is a whole lot cheaper than buying from the grocery store or a vet. I would just put neosporin on the sores and wrap a little gauze with the VetWrap over it for a few hours a couple times a day, just to give her poor paws a rest. And you can wrap it pretty tight around the paw so they can't chew it off. I used it on Bella when she tore out one of her nails. Hope she feels better soon!

PS- your nephew needs to learn to take better care of animals. or at least that is my opinion. it is pretty bad to do that much damage in such a small amount of time.

I know I probably shouldn't pipe up either as I have no advice on the feet thing but I am totally amazed that she came home the way your describing her after that short of time. I am SOOO very glad that she is back in your care and that you intend to keep her forever. He doesn't have any business with her, that's just my opinion and I'm sorry but I couldn't keep it to myself. Take care and give Diabla lots of hugs & kisses from me too. Let us know how she's doing.

Good to hear that's she's healing now. Hopefully she'll be back to normal in a few more days. I would definately supervise future visits your nephew has with the pup---just in case. And maybe he didnt do anything to cause the sores, probably just something she stepped in, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Glad to here Diabla is feeling better though

Thank you all for your support. I have been tring to find out what happen before going off on my nephew. She could of gotten that dirty by one hard play time out side and her being tired was excepted. But I am not happy by any means. The reason my nephew had leave was because his grandmother died (his first one died this year) and he got leave. My family talked him into letting me have Diabla. They reliazied I am so attached to her and I have taken total responsiblity for her for almost a year now. I felt bad because his had lost his grandmother and his dog (to me). Diabla love him to pieces. She remember him and is always over joyed to be with him. I just thought they Diabla could make him fell better by spending time with him.
I do agree with you. He still needs to learn would to be responable. I am not going to be letting him have visits with her without me. But I really should not be a problem because he will be gone for another year to a year and a half.
I know he loves Diabla, he just never has been taught how to stop and think about what is best for the animal. And lets face it these little ones are our babies!
