I can't believe I actually did it! After 7 years of teaching I've decided to leave it all together and go back to what I used to do (accounting and business management). I got the good news yesterday that I've been hired and I begin July 6th! I'm so excited yet afraid all at the same time. My nerves have been shot the past 24 hours with the thought of this change--I keep telling myself that change is good and I need this. I know I do.

This will also give me more time with Caesar and my hubby as well as more time for me--and more $'s.

I just had to tell someone and get the nerve part off my chest. Thanks!

Congratulations! You will do fine in your new job--the first week in a new job is usually the hardest (for me), but you can do it!

Once the nervousness is gone, I'm sure you'll be refreshed to be starting a new chapter in your life!
Good Luck with everything!

Congratulations and good luck! I too have been thinking of a career change and have plans to apply to law school. At the ripe old age of 25, I figure it's now or never. It's something I've always wanted to do, but it's very scary to think about not working full time and relying on loans to pay for tuition and living expenses.

Keep us posted on how the new job goes!

Congrats!!!! It is scary ( about 4 years ago I quit my job ( C.P.A., public accounting firm) to help my husband open his own law practice. WOW what a change, I had to file my own stuff and type LOL!! Anyhow, worked out great cause I didn't really like my job and while I still get to do "accounting" I get to experience alot of other stuff as well. So as long as you like your new "career" you will be much more happy, always think positive and perhaps you will be able to put your teaching experience to use at your new job training others once you get settled in!!!!!! That way you can have the best of both worlds!!! Good luck
