How scary!!! I have never heard of this before but I am going to watch my furbabies very close from now on. Sending Riley lots of healing vibes and Zeus and Kia send him a big boxer hug.

This happened to Cinnamon after her first set of shots. We got her home and she was fine she was playing witj my nephew then she suddenly went stiff fell over and couldnt move. Ill never forget the look on her face--her eyes just went bug eyed she looked terrified. We rushed back to the vet and found out She too took an allergic reaction, not as severe as your pup mind you, but a reaction nonetheless. She now has to be pretreated with benadryl before she gets any shots. Half a tablet the night before half the morning of half the night of then half the next morning.

Glad to hear Riley is ok though

Wow! What a scare! I am so glad you were still in the office and they could help her so quickly! I hope she feels better soon!

Oh, how frightening! Thank goodness you were still at the vets when it happened. Spud sends lots of boxer kisses and we both hope Riley is feeling better soon.

Very Scary...

I just had Lucian's last set of vacs last week and he got a lyme shot. That freaks me out a little. He has only had one lyme shot though, do they have to have 2 to make it effective. We NEED the lyme shot around here. We have ALOT of ticks and have already pulled several off of Lucian even with the frontline on him. Does he need to get a second shot?? My vet said he would be good for another year now, shot wise anyway. I will be taking him in next month to get him weighed and his heartworm prevention so I guess I will make sure that he doesn't need a second shot. Hope your baby is doing great by now!
