We started simple commands with Harley the first week he was with us. Of course we didn't work him hard at all, just simple stuff like watch me, sit, easy stuff like that. And of course lots of goodies (all positive training). It should be fun for the puppy (as well as for you), don't try to rush through commands (a puppies attention span can be less than a millisecond - at least Harley's was at that age):D .
Another thing you could start working on is bite inhibition. Harley's teeth were like little needles and we were able to save a few pairs of socks by practicing this at an early age.
Good luck training your puppy.....
And don't forget to have fun
