All this baby talk lately...sigh... Spring is definitely in the air!...It got me thinking, I remember when I was pregnant with my boys...I am only 4' 10' and used to look like a ship in full sail at 9 months.....I had very big babies for my size, and the last two had to be induced at 2 weeks before my due date, as, because I am so little, my babies had no more room left to grow, and I couldn't breathe anymore, let alone walk! my boys weighed ..10lb 2oz..9lb 6oz and 10lb 8oz...Yes I know I suffered!!....My grandmothers babies were also big...my uncle weighed 14lb...ouch!! So I suppose It's hereditary...My first grandchild weighed in at 6lb 10, so she might have broken the trend...my daughter in law was very pleased as she had an easy birth!!...on the other end of the scale, my best friend's first grandchild weighed only 1lb 2oz....but is now 3 years old, and as bright as a button!! :)

Well, I don't have kids but I thought I could tell you about my brother and me :) My mom is 5'4" and weighed about 130 at the time. My brother was 9.10 and I was 8.14. My brother's shoulders were too big for a natural delivery so my mom had a C-section. She had a scheduled section with me. I'm terrified that I will have big babies. I want to go the natural way...no epidural...and the thought of delivering a 9lb. baby naturally scares me to death!

My kids were itty bitty twin preemies. My son was 3lbs 5oz, my daughter was 4lbs 3 oz. They were only five weeks early, which isn't too bad for twins, but they should have been a little bigger. They were, and still are, healthy though!

Holly Smokes Marion!! Did you have your children naturally or by c-section.
My dd was 9lbs 5 oz and my ds was a peanut at 6lbs 12oz and I can only imagine how much the baby I am carring now will be.

I am 5'4"...
My 1st son was 6lbs, 6oz
My 2nd son was 6lbs, 3oz
My daughter was 6lbs, 12oz
...all a very nice size! :)
My ex bil was born over 50yrs ago and at the time he held "The Biggest Baby In Ontario" record at a mind blowing, leg-crossing 15lbs 10oz!! And oh yes, it was a natural birth!! He practically walked out of his mamma!! :eek:

MY first boy was 7lbs.8 1/2oz and 21 inches long. currently he is 10 years old and is 5' 8 tall and 100 lbs. My second boy was 7lbs 1oz and 20 inches long (my shrimp) he is currently 6 years old and 4' 10 tall and 45lbs. My 3rd. and final boy was 9lbs 120z and 23 inches long! He currently is 4 years old and 58lbs and is 4' 6 tall. during this last pregnancy he actually cracked 2 of my ribs climbing under them and growing too big for me! I am tall- 5' 9 myself but have long legs and am short waisted so the 23inches was too much! There is nothing like birthing a small baby elephant (as we called him) to make you decide to quit having kids! DH is 6'6 tall- that's where all the height comes from. All were natural births.
