I have an 8.5, almost 9, month old boxer. She is around 50lbs. I feed her Canidae all life stages original dry kibble two times a day. How much should she be fed at each feeding?

On the back of the bag is the amount to feed per pound. My dog is also around 50#, and I feed her about three cups a day. My fear is that she will become overweight, so I do not leave it sit out.

go by the guidelines on the bag, give or take some, depending on if she is still pretty hungry after eating what you give her.

UNLESS she is a pig and will eat and eat, then just give her whats on the bag

Well the bag has 2 feeding guidelines, one for puppies....and one for adults.....at 9.5 months which is she? I would think feed by the puppy guidelines until 1 year, however at the very bottom of the puppy column it says until 6 months. Do they mean to use the adult feeding guidelines after 6 months old? Please help! I don't want to underfeed or overfeed my girl!

Definitely go by the "adult" guidelines for your Boxer. On Canidae's website, I looked at the feeding guidelines, and it defines puppies as "up to 6 mos old". Here's the link: http://www.canidae.com/dogs/all_life_stages/dry.html

Help

Having Received The E-mail From Canidae Customer Support, Am Now Confused As The Site Quotes Over 6 Months 50 Lb Dog 2 Cups , About 290 Gms, How Come Customer Support Don`t Know This

That is strange about customer support having discrepancies with the bag and the website....
Kao is now 10.5 months, she will be 11 months on May 26. I am feeding her 3 cups of Canidae all-life stage a day based on the bag guidelines (2-3 cups/day for 50-70lbs). However she is very active as we have a large property. She seems to be getting skinner and you can see her spine, ribs, and hipbones. And her middle/waist is sunken in and skinny. I feel that she should be eating more but all that I have read insists that with Candiae you only need 2-3 cups and that it is very important not to overfeed. So I am scared to give her more than 3 cups (plus she gets a few treats a day), however I really think that I should. Any suggestions? Also, if I do start feeding her more, then if she was to get overweight from overfeeding then where would I see it first?

I think if kao is in the condition you said, you should feed her more. I think its ok to see the last few ribs but not see spine, hip bones and sunken waist. Just begin to gradually add and go from there. She wont blow up over night, so you'll be able to tell how much to feed in a couple weeks. Good luck!
