Casey's mom

We were outside today getting the last of the leaves cleaned up. Casey had her green sweater on and lying in the leave, I started a fire in the outside fireplace. I was looking around to see where she was and she was lying in the leaves and blended in so good I didn't see her. Then DH came in the back yard and they were playing a silly game and all I could hear was DH laughing and saying give me that glove. I just stood there and watch them have so much fun over the glove and I started thinking how much we laugh everyday with her around.

We just love her to pieces!!!

Oh Zoey is so much fun to have around. She makes everyday so wonderful.
The way she flips herself in mid air is so funny and even though it is a daily thing, it just makes us laugh so hard. When we take her somewhere we can't hardly walk 10 feet before someone stops and to say what a beautiful dog she is and want to pet her-----which makes us both feel so proud.
I think it goes without saying that she makes life so much more fun and I think I can say this for ALL Boxer owner's---life would most definitely not be the same without these beautiful balls of energy!!!!

Having a boxer in my life has changed me incredibly!! I laugh often and hard :), I look for the sweet, wonderful little things and forget about the little unimportant things. I'm blessed with hugs, kisses, a wiggly nubbin and puppy breath everyday. I get to say "I love you" a thousand times more each day. I have learned patience, tolerance and to appreciate the quiet times (as seldom as they appear :)). My DH says that he is more relaxed when he is around Kirra. He laughs & smiles and all the stress & hecticness of his life goes away when he is with her. Yes, we both believe..."It's all about you Kirra"

Susie & Cletus make my day stress free, when I get home from work, all I see are 2 loving Boxers with sloppy kisses & that can erase the worst day anyone could have. Then the clowning will begin, these two will do anything to make me laugh. It would not be the same if I didn't have them! Hanley

How Duke(Boxer) & Jr (Yorkie) have changed our lives! (Long one)

On July 21st I was told that it was highly improbable that I would ever have children of my own. While this was beginning to sink in 4 days later my brother in law was killed in an automobile accident. Needless to say it was a very difficult summer for our family. My parents got a Yorkie for my sister so she would have a reason to get up in the mornings. She named him Jr. after her husband, this puppy has literally saved my sister's life! She has to get up and walk him and take care of him, he doesn't leave her side when she starts to cry but most important he has made her laugh with his crazy puppy stunts. We all like to think that my brother in law has sent Jr to help my sister get through this, I swear this puppy even acts like him sometimes!
We were all trying to comfort my sister and help her through this horrible time and I forgot to mourn my "loss". By September I was starting to feel the effects, I wasn't eating and was doing a lot of crying. I didn't want to burden my parents or my sisters with any more issues so my husband and I were basically going through this on our own. The sadness was just overwhelming. My husband and I had always discussed getting a dog and a boxer was at the top of our list since we knew they are good with kids. But with everything that happened this summer we had just stopped looking. One morning we were just reading the paper and he happened to see an ad for a boxer pup and it was within our price range! To make a long story short, 2 weeks later I bought home my beautiful Duke! Duke has changed our lives completely! He makes us laugh and the emptiness I felt inside has been replaced with love and happiness, I know people say that a pet cannot replace a child, but Duke my beautiful furbaby has helped me come to terms with my "loss". I feel that he is our child and even if we eventually adopt, Duke will always be more than a pet. According to my husband Duke has given me back the light in my eyes and I know that Duke has brought back the laughter in our house. And when Duke and Jr get together there is even more love and laughter; imagine a 5 pound dog growling and stealing toys from a 41 pound one! Even though our family will never be the same because of the losses we suffered this summer, Duke and Jr have also changed our families-they brought back HOPE!

To sum it up. My Boxers are my life. They have made my worst days bright. They have taught me feelings. They have taught me even when I feel old (as some of them were but passed) that I can still feel young and alive. They have been there through the good times and bad (when family and friends have not been) and been the best supporters for me. I am reminded of unconditional love everyday. They are the first my eyes are to see in the morning and help me rest a peaceful night.

Even though I have family and friends they don`t understand how my Boxers have made my life complete. They are always there to go for a walk with me, they are always there to keep me company while I cook. They are my shadow that follow me most everywhere.

I too don`t have any children so if I did things may have been different. I am very blessed to have the company of my Boxer family. It is like day care here 24 hours 7 days a week with all of the little squabbles most children can get in.

Am I weird or happy?
You be the judge!

Changed our lives.. OMG..

Brandy.. she taught me love, patience and trust from a dog.. not that my family is not all of these.. she was a dog and she had all of these wonderful qualities.. she became my bestfriend. When she crossed the bridge others who did not understand could truely not understand the pain I felt they would say "She was just a dog". Brandy was my baby girl, she was a mama's girl 100%.

We now have Abigial.. she is a clown, I love the faces she makes especially when those floppy lips get stuck in her teeth.. what a hoot. Abigail is a daddy's baby all they way. You have to know my DH he is the quite type but Abigail knows how to get to him and he loves it. She is so curious about everything. Yesterday she saw her self in the mirror so funny .. you never know what she is going to do.. she has brought so much joy into our home. I do have kids both in their high teens. The bond between her and the skin kids is wonderful. If I only knew what she was thinking with the expressions she makes.

Obediance is another .. you have to be very loyal in their care giving so they in turn will do the same. You have to learn to understand them know what they are thinking.. read the signs.. You make them what they are so be proud of your accomplishments..

I can't wait each day to get home to see her, she brightens our days so much. I know I've got it bad but what can I say I love my Abigail ..
