How does your boxer wake you up?

Q-Lock

Boxer Pal
Our Athena seems to have a deliberate schedule of when she needs to get up in the morning and be let outside to use the facilities.

Mon-Fri she gets up between 6am and 6:20am...our alarm is set to wake us up at 6:30. Why she can't just wait that extra 10 minutes, I just don't know. If it's saturday or sunday, she can sleep until 10-11am without moving a muscle.

This morning, Athena got off the bed, walked to my side of the bed, stood about 8 inches from my ear and began to stretch/yawn/howl...kind of like when you hear someone yawn loudly. I'm sure you know what sound I'm talking about. She kept this "yowl" up for about 5-6 seconds hitting a nice range of different octaves. I open one eye to look at her (I'm laying on my side) and she just stares at me wagging her tail...so I get up and let her out...meander my way back under the covers and return to lala land.

I'm just wondering, in what manner do your little mischiefs wake you up in the morning?

Have a great day,
Quinten

Calla wakes me up the exact same way Athena wakes you up. If I act like I don't hear her, she just gets louder. She does her woo-woos, and then starts growling.

Biff

Our Biff is only 11wks old and sleeps in the kitchen.

I wake HIM up, at 6.30am, when I get up for work.

He just lifts one eye, yawns, has a wee tail wag, and tries to go back to sleep.

Most mornings, I have to physically carry him into the garden, and stay there with him until he does his business.

Do you think I've got a lazy wee boy, or is this quite common for his age?

Molley wakes us up by whining and pawing at her crate, which is in our bedroom. The past few days this has been at 3 a.m.! She had been doing so well, sleeping through the night. She's teething though...that probably has something to do with it.

Josi sounds like she is the exact opposite. She could stay in bed all morning if we stayed in there with her. After daddy's alarm goes off and he it out of bed, she comes over to my side and swats me upside the head to pick up the covers for her to get back under and curl up between my legs. Then when I finally decide its time to get up and go for a walk before it gets too hot out, she wiggles her way up to my face and lays about 50 stinky (morning breath) wet ones on me. After her walk and breakfast is complete, she usually goes back upstairs for her late-morning beauty nap and all this happens on an almost daily occurence:)

My husband and I alternate taking the boys for a walk 5:00am in the morning so when my alarm goes off they both jump off the bed and go to my side. If my husbands alarm goes off they go to his side. But during the weekend they usually start walking around our room around 8am and just stare at us, once they see our eyes are open they jump into bed and start wiggling.

not a good topic for me today. Neighbor got a new OUTDOOR dog so they all hear him barking at all hours of the night and then they start. Last night it was 3:00 AM. They go outside, bark back, then come right back in the house and on the bed. Why?

Usually I wake them up because they are all bums.

A big old sloppery kiss either up the nose or in the ear...NICE. But most days I have to wake her up!

My 2 sleep in the bed with me. They wake me up by getting OFF the bed with such a racket! Then, if I don't get up, I get: Paw on the pillow and sad eyes from Buster. Nudges from Shaylea.
