I know there is probably a post on this somewhere but I couldn't find it searching, so I'll ask.
How do I get Jack to ask me to go out (paw at the door, bark, get his leash, something). He's 13 weeks old and has, on average, one accident a day. I think it's mostly my fault for not being able to tell when he needs to go out. Before he has an accident he usually walks up and stands in front of me to do it! I just say no and grab him midstream and carry him outside (he stops when I pick him up and finishes outside). The problem is I can't tell the difference between coming to me to play and coming to tell me he needs to go out. Does any one have a technique to suggest that would ecourage him to ask in a way other than peeing on the carpet? Thanks!

*, he isn't now. Now he just wanders around and around and sits there and stares at me (as if, what do you want me to do mom? *S*)....As soon as I bring him in (around 10-15 minutes after being out) he relieves himself on the carpet. Sometimes, he'll pee outside and then when we get inside, after 5-10 minutes, he'll pee again!
