How did you find your boxer's name?

My son had a video game and one of the characters names was Tideus. So he told me thats what I needed to name him. I did, not knowing that I spelled it wrong. I spelled iy Titus and after we got the AKC papers and all back he informed me that I had misspelled it. I like Titus better that Tideus anyway. As for Chloe, I'm not sure how we came about that one.

I'm a bit of a mythology freak, so both my Boxers have mythology based names. LOKI is named for the Norse God of Mischief, and LYRA is named for the harp constellation "Lyra" which greek legend says was put there by Zeus to honor Orpheus the son of Apollo.

Jakin got his name well from my dad. Since Jakin was a gift from him, i let my dad name is. His full name is Westwinds (kennel name) Jakin Boaz Yahtzee.
Jakin (means establishing) and Boaz (means strength) Yahtzee is in respect for the last part of my dads first boxer. Jakin Boaz is biblical.

Being the 4th generation of boxers in the family to have B-names. Belle got her name because it was my great-grandmother’s name and of course it fits in with Buck, Brandy and Babs.

Lita got her name from my favorite female wrestler.. but now that i think of it, i really like that name and if i ever have a daughter, i think i would like to name her that. My grandmother's name is Rita, and my favorite Aunt's name is Lena, so together... Lita! i didn't even think of that when i named my dog that! do you think it would be strange to have a daughter with the same name as a dog?! (...even tho my doggie probably won't be around by the time i get around to having kids!!!! :( )

I knew that's what I wanted to name him before I even knew I was going to get him.

We could not pick a name for Reno so we kept the name the breeder gave him. His dad was Vegas so they named the whole litter after cities in Nevada.

My 1st boxer was named cali (after california) because she had a white marking on the back of her neck shaped like it. She sadly passed from HOD, but my next boxer was already named before I even got her. I decided to name the second one Jersey... the opposite of Cali.. but not the same =)

A friend of mine named Rocky, then I realized that was a very common name for boxers so I stuck in the Road to make him Rocky Road. I wish he was a girl in a way, so his name could have been Petunia.
