We havent selected a date yet, as far as insurance goes we need 2 million liablilty + waivers and it is considered "high risk" insurance because it isnt a dog show and the spectators are also considered participants. I don't want to tell people that they have to leave dogs at home (thats just not fair) but I was hoping it could be a boxer bash, if you have another dog that is fine you may bring them. I am looking in to another facility since Boxer Rescue hasnt gotten back to me recently. It is 1800 sq feet with a 900 sq foot reception area.
In terms of hotels, you will be hard pressed to find a hotel that will allow pets.. both unfortunately and fortunately after losing my house last year in a fire and needing a hotel that allows animals I know of one that is easily accessable from the highway and is quite reasonable and allows pets. It is a "Comfort Inn" it is on Weber Street in Waterloo by University avenue. It is within walking distance to a small park for a nice walk and there are grassy areas around the building for potty breaks provided you pick up after your boxer baby

I think they try to keep animals on the first floor so you have sliders to get outside and dont have to use a key card to get in everytime.
If you are trying to PM me TYS0NSM0MMA the o's are actually zeros

Now this week is going to be a little hectic for me as I am trying desperately to get out of having to fly to Edmonton to testify in court, I even got a doctors note to say I couldn't fly for medical reasons at this point, and I am heavily involved in a job search. But perhaps anyone who is local who wants to help plan maybe we could get together for coffee or we could go tour a few places?
Let me know what you guys want to do, if you dont want to or dont have time to help that is ok I just need to know so I can get moving on this. Also in terms of dates when are people thinking for or hoping for? just so we can see, I know weather is going to start getting bad and I dont want people to travel when it is horrible out, so we have a few options:
a) we get something put together for us BW members sooner rather than later and forget Boxer Rescue this time around
b)we could plan something really great for the early spring
c) we could do both and involve BR for the spring Bash
any other ideas would be appreciated.
Keep me posted, and I will try to please the masses!
