I always leave it on Disney Channel or Noggin, generally just because that's what my TV is on all the time anyhow :)

Cyrus listens to the soft rock station. His Aunt used to let him out during lunch time, leave the tv on for him, and he had to watch terrible daytime programming!! Poor baby had to watch soap operas and those horrible talk shows! My DH used to come home and get so mad when she made him watch tv!!

Right, it looks like music, the calm cooking shows, (Hell's Kitchen is definitley out) or QVC for Remy. (I just won't leave my credit card for her ;)).

I have to say, one short year ago if I had heard of anyone leaving the TV on for their dog, I would have rolled my eyes in disdain . Now I am quite happy to be part of the "mad" boxer family.

We leave the radio on for Splash during the day. He prefers the local top 40 station. When we go out at night we leave the TV on for him. He is a big RED SOX fan, so he loves watching the games. DH leaves Cartoon Network on for him him too.

 I remember having the grandkids for the weekend just after we got Biff. I was taking them shopping, and doing the usual house checks before leaving. "You've left the radio on Gran!" quipped my five-year old g/daughter. "Yes, I know, it's for Biff" I told her.

They all looked at me if I had gone senile, and even the five year old rolled her eyes in distain!

I have a CD I play for the pups, Amazon has quite a few dog CDs. I have one called Music your Pets Love. It is classical music and has some stories every now and again for them to listen as well as telling them they are good dogs in a calming voice. It really is relaxing and I like it too.

I use to leave the TV on for them but read one of Stanley Coren's books and learned that they can't really see the TV. It has something to do with the light and how the screen flickers and dogs see a different range of light than we do. I think he gave an example of how a computer screen flickers if you see it on TV or look at it through a camera, it has the flicker or a rolling type appearance. Dogs see that but it is much faster for them. I read it in "How Dogs Think and how the world look to them" (or something to that effect) by Stanley Coren.

Completely Boxer Crazy
My Boxer listens to classical music, it makes him smarter. Then when he watches animal planet, he is more appreciative of the privileges he has a a member of this family.

Yep we are MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of us here on the world of boxers lol
