Thank you all for your kind words, it is comforting to know that others understand.

Hopefully, when the pain of the loss is gone, I will be left with good memories and only the good ones :)

I've started packing up his things .. his collars, food bowls. But I can't seem to take his crate to the storage room. I feel like if I do that I will forget him, silly I know :')

But from all of this I know what pure love is, to love someone that much is not something all people get to know what feels like in their lifetime. I'm grateful for that.

I hope all you who are hurting from a loss of a four legged friend will find some comfort and peace in your hearts.

So sorry to hear of your sad loss, when you've had a constant loving companion for so long, the hole that's left behind must feel unfillable.
Thinking of you,Waldo's mum.

Im so sorry for your loss. I know what you're going through. It's been 2 full months and I still cry at numerous things. I have yet to put all of Harley's things away. His toys are still out in his basket, his doggie bowls are still there, and his collar and leash are still waiting at my door. I've managed to get rid of all his pills and food and bed......but I cant bear to put anything else away, just yet......for fear that I'll start "forgetting" about him (like you said......so silly). I know that would NEVER happen.....but I dont know what else to do right now. That's all I have left of him :( Please know that your in my thoughts and prayers............as is your Holyfield! Run free Holyfield!

I feel your pain. I had a beautiful flashy brindle female named Abby that was my whole world. When I had to let her go at the age of 8 yrs old it broke my heart. Even though she has been gone 6 yrs my heart still aches for her. I would give anything to hold her in my arms and kiss her sweet smoochie face again. She was my best friend and the one I knew would be there for me when I needed a shoulder to cry on. I had such a hard time with Abby's death. I know now that she is running pain free with all of the babies at the Rainbow Bridge. She is watching over me. When I went to pick out another boxer and this flashy little boxer boy ran over to me and looked up at me with these eyes that looked just like my Abby's I knew he was the one for me. I'm sure Abby sent him over to me to heal my broken heart. Just know that your boy is no longer in pain and is running with all of our babies. Chasing butterflies and laying in the beautiful green grass. I'm sure my Abby was waiting for Holyfield to give him lots of kisses. Godspeed sweet angelicon...Hugs Linda

I have lit a candle for your sweet sweet Holyfield~ Please know he as well as you are in my thoughts and prayers~ I am so sorry~
