Holiday Gift List

I was just getting my Gift list together for the holidays and was wondering if I'm the only goof who actually includes my Furkids on the list?
Its funny but I like to do a list and put a $ amount for each so I stay within my budget. It works. Well I usually end up a little over on my two Skinkids and my two Furkids but only by about 50 bucks or so. But I actually list them like so:
MARINE - Sqeaky Toy $5, Talk to me ball $8, etc.
CASPIAN - Nylabone chicken $7 etc.

I just wanted to let everyone know that this year I have decided to add someone to my list and I encourage everyone to do the same.

BOXER RESCUE - $

I am making this part of my list from now on so that if I am not able to donate throughout the year It will definately be in my budget for Xmas. And remember the amount doesn't matter its what you are comfortable with. We usually donate to other charities during the holidays and I just thought we could squeeze one more in there. And I know we all would love to be able to give all those babies in rescue a great Christmas morning with presents like our own furkids get. So lets support them along with the other people we support.

Angie K, I think that is a wonderful idea. I also do my christmas list as you do. I make a note of the $$ to spend and I know what I'm allowed. I do that with my budget each & every month and I normally do my budget 2-3 mos in advance. Drives my hubby crazy! Call me anal or obsessive but my bills are paid on time and I work it out so I can pay everything and have enough left over for what ever might come up that we decide to buy and enough to put in the numerous emergency funds that one must keep for unexpected surprises. Makes me feel like I'm on top of everything.

god no Saffie is at the top of our Chrimbo list i actually found a really cute web site called www.puccipetwear.com i'm going to get her a sweatshirt and a new tag...... she also gets a big teddy bear every year she loves these!!!

P.S We also wrap her prezzies up and she whines with excitement when opening them!

Thats a great idea christmas list & donation I can't wait this will be our first christmas with Sadie and she's at the top of my list, I also have a daughter and two grand kids, friends, and family to buy for...BUT Sadie will be # one hee hee

I don't think it's weird - it's planning! I have a Holiday Club that I put $$ in every week. Each October the bank cuts me a check and I start my list (Daisy is right up there with my skin kids!).

This year my budget is a little tight because my ex-husband lost his job and has not paid child support in a couple of weeks. Depending on when he gets a job I may have to dip into the holiday $$ for day-to-day stuff....

The donation to Boxer Rescue is a great idea, too! 'Tis better to give than to receive.

This is the best idea,we seem too forget the needy animals at xmas,when we all sit down for xmas dinner & opening gifts.We all should think of these poor puppies in shelters & rescues.Thank you for sharing your gift list & ideas!LOL,Hanley

Angie K I think that you copied from me I do my Christmas list exactly like you and I do my household budget exactly the same. I am always ahead on it by a couple of months, I agree it makes you feel on top of things. Shakira and all of my furkids, including my grand furkids, as I don't have any skin ones yet, will receive plenty of gifts for Christmas to spoil them even more. I feel so bad for the dogs in shelters. I go to Boxertown.com once in a while and their sad eyes just glare at me, I wish I could rescue all of them or at least buy each one a chewy for Christmas. The boxer rescue donation is such a wonderful idea, thanks for sharing

Mason's on the top of my list too. Recently, a friend of mine heard me say that I was cutting my list back this year and she said 'oh I guess that means you won't be buying for that dog then huh?' (no, she's not a dog person) and I looked at her and said 'are you kidding? of course.' She rolled her eyes at me. I don't care if she thinks I am crazy.
