OMG! I haven't been on all weekend and I just saw this!! I'm so glad that Jake is doing better!! What hospital did you take him to?

Tears came to my eyes when reading your post. I was sure it was not going to end well. I am so glad everything did and that Jake is going to be okay. I can't imagine how scarey that must have been for you. Lots of ((((hugs)))) to you, Jake and DH. Keep us posted on his progress.

Wow, what ordeal to have to go through- poor Jake. So happy Jake is ok. We wish him speedy recovery and healing vibes! Sounds like Jake needs extra special lovins', treats, and some TLC!
I'm just so glad that guy called to tell us where he was. Of course, he couldn't have moved his car without actually backing over Jake, but I guess he could have just moved him. We took him to Metro Vet Hospital in Copley, we've been there before. They're great, but I could hardly believe the first thing they did was tell us how much it was gonna be and ask "what do you want us to do?" What did they think we were gonna say, "put him down?"

Poor Jake! I am glad he is ok. I get so upset when someone hits a dog and drives away! Bayleigh sends slobbery kisses. Keep us posted!
Metro is definitely not one of my faves :(
We dealt with Metro when Pooh had bloat a few years ago. When I made the initial call to bring her in,the cost was the first thing that was mentioned. They wanted to operate right then-after telling us the cost of course-they had put a tube down her and "deflated" her. I brought her home because I was so mad at how she and us were treated. The next day I asked my boss about her vet,as I wanted another opinion. Check out Stow Kent Animal Hospital.They are on Rt.59 in Kent-just past Fishcreek Rd.,right nest doot to McDonald's. All I can say about them is AWESOME!!!! Turned out that Pooh did not need the surgery-actually we got real lucky-.They have been our vet for the past 4-5 years. Have evening hours until 9pm,24-7 hospital,someone is there all the time. And the best part is that they have no problems working a payment plan, and the prices are reasonable.With all that we have had going on with Dozer and his seizures,well,to me they are angels. We see Dr Doug Paroff,they also have a new location in Brimfield,but Stow is closer for me. There are other vets on staff there,all wonderful,but we've had "Dr.Doug" since day 1. They don't talk cost first,the furkids are # 1. In fact I have to take Dozer there tomorrow,his appt is at 2:30.
