This is such a great site, I am so glad I found you all. I am mommy to Maddox 8 1/2 week old male and will always be mommy to our angel that died 3 months ago Otis our 6 month old fancy fawn. Maddox is a reverse brindle and is full of more energy than my two year old twins :) We are potty training and housebreaking all at the same time here. There is a wealth of knowledge here and I am sure I will be visiting it often. Maddox is quite the picky eater and will not the Royal Canin food that we bought him, he seems more interested in my cats $2.00 a bag cat food, we had to start keeping that picked up or he will eat it faster than we know what happened. I read lots of things about Eukanuba here so will not go that route, any other suggestions ?

Hi and welcome to BW, your best bet is to do a search for whole dog journal. THis will bring up tons of information and threads and give you some "food" for thought :) Look forward to hearing about your pupper and seeing some pics.

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome and I will definately do that search. I am going to post pictures of Maddox and our angel Otis as soon as the twins give me a minute to myself so that I can do it :) Also Maddox refuses to go anywhere on a leash, he plops his butt down and gives me that look like " you can't make me" We never had any of these problems with Otis and my hubby keeps telling me not to compare but all of this is new. We originally were going to get the real brother of Otis from the Kennel where we purchased him, we found out right after Otis died that the mom was in heat and the dad was in with her, tragically during breeding she had problems and they had to have her spayed. We went to another breeder and against my better judgement bought this pup, the conditions were clean but I just had a funny feeling, The breeder called me today and said if he could not find homes for the other pups he was going to sell them all to a buyer, I think he may have been in over his head and who knows maybe we saved this one from a life of misery :)
