Boxer Pal
We started 10 years ago with a beautiful boy named Ty who we adopted from a young man who simply did not have the means to keep Ty. This boxer was the perfect addition to our family. We loved him so much that we had to get him a companion. We adopted Emma from the Boxer Rescue here in Florida and have never regretted adding them to our family. They bring joy to our lives every single day. As they are getting older we are looking for a vet that truely understands the health issues that boxers can have. Both of ours have had cancerous tumors removed and as they age we tend to hear that some things are just problematic to boxers. After hearing this I am on a quest to find a vet in the Central Florida area that truely understands the needs that my boxers have. As they age I want to be exceptional careful as to which treatments we chose for them so not to ruin their quality of life. Any feedback is appreciated. I am glad to have found this forum.
Sincerely,
Erika

I can certainly understand your concerns as your Boxers age. I reside in NJ and cannot recommend any Florida Vet, but I can tell you that my Boxer, who turned 9 in November, was put on a senior plan, which involves her being evaluated every 6 months.

How old are your Boxers? It sounds as though you are providing vigilant care since cancerous tumors were identified in a timely manner and successfully treated. I think most dog lovers have an instinct that alerts us to changes in our pets very similar to the instincts we possess with our children.
