My family and I have been the proud 'owners' of Boxers since 1998, when Ali (brindle, cropped and docked) came into our lives at 8 weeks of age. In 2000 Ali had nine healthy, beautiful puppies. We kept one of the males (brindle, docked), Oscar. Ali was laid to rest on Wednesday afternoon as the result of a spinal tumor which had taken the use of her hind legs - but never affected her spirit or love and dedication to those of us who were with her.

Upon our loss we knew we needed company for Oscar and brought Evander (8 weeks old, docked brindle) into the home today - and his young enthusiasm (which I have found to be life-long in Boxers) has been infectious!!

I look forward to the stories, advice and photos of other poteser here at Boxerworld and hope I can add something along the way!!

Im so sorry to hear of your loss. I know the heart ache of losing a precious one all to well. I have a almost 8 month old (on the 9th) male boxer. This is my first time owning a boxer and it sure has been a blessing. Being in the dallas area maybe i can pass along some of the wonderful dog parks and activities they have go on around ya. Last weekend the city was closing the pools so the last day was called dogapoolza. It was awesome. They shut the pools down and let the dogs go swimming. I know my zeusie had a blast. He lives with 3 chihuahuas so it was nice for him to see other nice friendly big dogs. He looked like a giant compared to our dogs til we saw him out there. He looked like a pup all over again. So welcome to the area and the boards.
