Yvonne and I have a 5 years old brindle bitch, Mysingens Olea-Samba, who follows us between our home in Sweden North of Stockholm and our home in Portugal North of Lisbon. Around Stockholm in Summer it is beautiful with almost whole days of daylight and sun whereas in Winter it is wet, dark and cold. Skiers regard dogs as unnecessary obstacles in the track. In Portugal it is beautifully warm and friendly in Winter with lots of dog owners and free areas on the beaches and hills, but it is too hot in Summer and dogs are not welcome among the thousands of sun-bathers on the beaches. Therefore we migrate between them.
I grew up in England with two yellow boxers and Yvonne and I had a King Charles Cavalier spaniel a couple of years when our children were small. They have always wanted a bigger dog and Yvonne chose to have a boxer to my surprise and satisfaction. We are extremely happy with Samba and she is the main link to many of our friends in both countries. Yvonne takes her out for long walks and runs and I look after her menial needs.
