I was here to visit the site to look for a prospective new home for my 1 yr old Boxer Boy ~ I read a post by ScrubbysGal & looks as if she may fit the bill for a home ~ I am waiting for her to reply.
I have owned Boxers all my life & if there were any way possible that I could keep him with me, I certainly would, this is heart wrenching for me; but due to a recent finacial situation with circumstances beyond my control , I am forced to sell our home & take residence an apartment that will not allow dogs of his size.
My Ozzy is a beautiful, healthy & flashy fawn one year old boy, very muscular & large, fully house-broken, he loves to play and run with other dogs & would love to run with a human companion as well. He would do very well in a home with other dogs - he is not a dominate male - he is very sweet in temper, he even loves his kitty pals.
I am looking to find a forever home for him - I hope that I am able to find someone willing and able to enjoy his spirit, spunk and his kidneybean dances!I will dearly miss him - my heart is breaking so much - but know that there must be someone out therewho can give him the life he so richly deserves! We have a 9 month old female brindle named Roxy that we fell in love with when we went to go for a male fawn. We have a big yard for them to play in and a 5 year old daughter to play with. Hi, we are still looking for a playmate for Cedar. He is a 4 year old boxer that LOVES to play with dogs, puppies, children, cats, even the fish if he could. Cedar is very well behaved and plays equally well with large dogs and small puppies. We live on 2+ acres in Maryland and have a partially fenced in back yard. Both my husband and I work out of the house so we are home most days with our 'babies'. Please let me know if Ozzy is still available.

Still Looking for Prospective Home

Bummer!!! Evidently Cedar's Mom has found a female & is no longer interested in Ozzy. There was no reply from one other prospect that I have e-mailed to set up a meeting with(still keeping my fingers crossed though) & another person who contacted me would have had him crated for 8 or more hours a day(not good for Ozzy). This boy is used to having Mom home all day & hates being alone more than a few hours a day. He is used to playing with dogs, and cats, and kittens, and kids and would fit in well with a family that would give him attention and love, and lots of "play time" in a nice big yard. He loves to run - he would be great with a person that loves to run. He is fully house-broken, & trained to sit - stay & come. He is fine with being crated when alone - but certainly would not be happy to be crated 5 days a week for 8 hours at a time. He is a lovely - lively playful boy & he loves to be near people as much as possible. I am hoping to find him a "forever home" and the sooner the better, as we have had lots of people interested in buying the house & it looks like it will sell quickly. I am moving out on Saturday - as I am separating from my husband - he will be able to stay here with Ozzy until the house is actually Sold - but Ozzy will be "crated" while he is at work - I will stop in to let him out & play with him for an hour or so ~ but it is really my hope to get him into a new home that he would be able to transition into easily as soon as possible so he does not become stressed. Any other Boxer Buddies out there looking to Adopt a sweet, super-handsome, flashy fawn male!?! Contact me ASAP ~ Sunny

Hi sunny our family is seeking a loving companion and Ozzy sounds delightful. I would love to adopt OZZY............. but PA is ouite a long way from Va, i know this is heart wrenching for you, but hang in there. I am new to this site but after reading some of the post about the adoptions and rescues done by bw members i have to say you are in the right place this forum is full of loving and caring people to help you get thru this

Thanks Bunches for the kind thoughts and words - Heather(ourroxygirl) has just e-mailed me this morning & wants to set up a meeting for Saturday, so - I think we may have found him a great home - as long as her Roxy gets along with Ozzy. Thank you for the PM - a reply was sent. I am so glad and thankful to have this site to come to for the help we need in finding Ozzy a new home! HuGs ~ Sunny

home for ozzy

hi, i would love to have another boxer in my home. i live in PA near hershey, i currently have 1 1 yr old boxer and an 9 yr old lab. i live on a 3 acre farm. i have been desperately wanting another boxer but have not had to good of success( i would like to try to rescue one before i would buy a puppy) please let me know if he is still available and if he would get along with other dogs. neither of my dogs are aggressive, and they are both boys...love to hear from you..jody
