I had the privilege of adopting a once-in-a-lifetime boxer when he was age 8. My dear, sweet, perfect Mickey died last November of brain cancer and mast cell tumors. With him, he took my heart. I am changed, forever.
In late December, we came across another 7-8 year old boxer and fell in love with her! In her past life, she was owned by an irresponsible breeder who abandoned her and her 2 siblings. Considering what she has been though, Katie has an AWESOME personality. Turns out, because of her tough life, my vet said she was probably 3.5-6 years!
Now, my husband and I normally adopt old animals, so this youngster is certainly giving us a run for our money! Katie is a delight!
