Halo never did go to the door. For some reason she will come and find you and sit and give you the vulcan death stare until you look at her. Its kinda creepy sometimes like she's staring a hole right through you! Then i'll ask her if she needs to go outside and she turns around and heads for the door turning back to make sure you are actually getting up to go. What I feared a bit was that she would get used to the routine of me asking her if she needs to go "outside" and figure out that that got her outside. I'm sure she knows that now at her age (almost 2 yrs now) but she's never abused it once that I can think of. She goes potty and goes back to the door. Potty training is what I dreaded most but its actually turned out not to be too bad after all.

Yay Baxter!!:)

This really got me thinking about how Raleigh "asks" to go outside, when he was a baby I just kept taking him out over and over but now he's older....he will go and stand by the back door sometimes but when I think about it he can be so lazy! I'll suddenly think he's not been out in a while then try to get him up and outside, if it's not nice weather, and he can't sunbathe he'll just stare at me like...what are you doing and not move, mind you we walk/run with him for at least an hour 2-3 times every day plus hike a lot so...he probably doesn't even need to go potty :)
