Help! Spot cleaning (carpet) tips needed!!

Okay, so I'm an idiot. I did not put Sam in his kennel last night, he was sleeping with one of the boys and looked so content that I left him. At four in the morning, my son came to tell me that Sam had pooped on the floor in his room, which is carpet. And of course the poop was not solid, so I scraped up as much as I could (it was SO gross) and went back to bed. I'm waiting now for my son to wake up so I can clean the rest of it. I do not have a carpet cleaner, and I'm sure it has soaked into the carpet by now. Any suggestions on how to get it out???

Go to the store and get Spot Shot it's in a blue and orange can. This stuff takes everything out of carpet. I'v used it for years, on dog spots and red wine and even on old spots. Its great stuff.

I can get it just about everywhere now. Kmart, Walmart, Walgreen, bigger food store chains, CVS, Rite Aid, Aco hardware stores. Maybe you could call some first to ask it they have it. You must have some of these store near you.

I'm going to have to try this too. My poor carpet has taken a beating from the puppies w/ accidents, dirt, and anything else they can bring in from outside!

That Capture carpet cleaner you can get at Home Depot is very good for spots like that. And you just use your vacuum to get up the powder. It comes in a kit, or you can buy the spray and powder separately.

If you get Capture just be sure not to get the carpet too wet with the spray and be sure it is totally dry before you vaccuum the white powder off. If not the white residue remains and it looks like you bleached your carpet. That happened to me and you have to respray it, brush it in and then let it thoroughly dry and vaccuum again. But it does work really well.

Vinegar and water, half and half. Works great on spots.
