Help!!!! Don't know what to do! (long)

Thanks again guys for your support and words of encouragement...it really is appreciated and meaningful. I was pretty bummed last night, and still today. I was searching the internet far and wide last night, and was almost in tears as I found no answers out there either. I'm trying to be smart about this. I know what I want ya know, what I feel will best fit my situation and be the most beneficial to both me and my new furbaby, but it's looking pretty grim at the moment. Maybe I will send them another email at least. I keep having thoughts of "fibbing" my way into getting what I want, but after that Ellen Degenneris (sp)story, I'm hesitant as I don't want to ruin my chances completely. Again, thanks, and I will keep you posted as to my next move

Check out other rescues the rescue that I work for adopts to people in apartments and without fenced yards we just wouldn't place a runner or blind or deaf dog if your yard isn't fenced we find the appropriate dog for you the only thing we have problems with is alot of people just want a very young dog and those people end up waiting for a very long time. If you have lots of Boxer experience you should contact them again and tell them.

Ok....2wks ago I submitted an application to the boxer rescue. I have been wondering and wondering if they would even call. Well, someone called me this evening and I MISSED THE CALL :eek: ! The person calling left a nice message, and of course I called back within 15min's or so and left her a message but I can't believe that I missed it! That was 2hrs ago! You guys, I'm so upset...now I have to wait some more?!?!?!?!?

I am so sorry you are having a hard time. It is so hard when you decide you are ready and then have to wait! Hopefully this rescue works out for you and you will have a new baby in no time Keep us updated!

The rescue called me back today! I spoke for a good bit to the lady and I may even get to go and look at some girls next Saturday...yaaaaay! She didn't know a whole lot about the one I was interested in, but said that 3 new females were being relinquished tomorrow which is really very sad :( . They don't currently have a lot of females so now I might have some choices. Again, very sad that so many are given up but at least these people are smart enough to give the dogs to a place that has their best interest at heart.

So I guess I'll be moving in with my friend. The rescue will want to do a home inspection and even maybe be willing to let my friend "foster" until I move in if I find the right dog now. The only catch is, he only has a 5ft fence so it will have to be a dog that is not a known jumper and of course it will have to be one that will get along with Gino. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time :eek: I'll let you all know what happens next!

Good news!!! you know out of all the boxers we have adopted out this year about 100 only one needed a 6 foot fence because she is nervous and will bolt none of my boxers jump a 4 foot fence so I can't see there being a problem with a 5 foot fence besides if the boxer is happy its not gonna take off we had a runner as a foster after a few months he would not take off at all.

Update

I just found out that I am going to get to meet the boxer girl I've been wanting to meet for like a month now She is in a foster home getting "fattened up" and she has been a little untouchable up to this point, but I'm moving in with my friend, the wheels are turning, and I'm finally going to get to meet her...woohoo! Don't know exactly when yet, but at least they said it will happen! Now, I just have to hope that she will be a good match for her potential new home! I'm so excited!!! I'll let you all know how it goes
