Boxer Pal
Hello all! My family just recently adopted our first boxer. His name is Otis, and he is now 6 months old. We got him when he was 4 months. We consider him a rescue, because he was a backyard breeder dog. The vet says he's in good health, and we were happy to have gotten him out of that situation!
Along with Otis, my husband and I have four children, 2 boys, 2 girls, ages 6, 8, 12, and 14. We also have a Corgi mix that is an SPCA rescue named Jessie. They get alone really well, actually.
We have really fallen in love with Otis, I truly didn't think I could love a dog this much. He's such a character. I don't know that I would rate him as the smartest animal alive, but the love he has is just amazing. He is happy to snuggle and love on us, and he is not at all shy about demanding attention when he needs a snuggle!!! :D He's at that funny stage where his paws are too big, and his long legs are too lanky and he trips over himself and just cracks us up all the time. I can't imagine owning another breed again. I'm definitely smitten by the boxer.
