Hello Boxer Lovers,
I am the proud owner of my first boxer. Rocky is almost 4 months old and I could not be happier. He is about 35 pounds and I was wondering how this compared to other boxers in size. I also have a beagle that is 5 years old. They get along wonderfully and it is so funny to see them play together. I love the new site and look forward hearing from other boxer lovers.

Congratulations on your new addition! And welcome to the board. There is a lot of useful information on this board, but *******WARNING********* This site can get addicting!!

There have been quite a few threads recently on what size at what age, if you can search the forums for them. The general consensous (sp?) is that Boxers are like children, they grown at different rates, and the end up different sizes. As long as your baby is happy and healthy, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Hi Colin
Welcome to the forums. As Tigersmommy has said, this site can get addicting, however it is a healthy addiction :)
As for size, it sounds like Rocky is about right on, but you may want to do a search in some of the forums for threads that have already been posted on the topic. I agree though they will grow to be what they are meant to be.
Looking forward to hearing all about Rocky and his 5 yr old beagle sibling. There are a few members on here who have the boxer and beagle siblings!

My Boxer is about 40 pounds at 6 monthes but i think he is about 7 to 10 pounds underweight so your box sounds good to me!!

Weight

All the books I buy on Boxers say different things on how much a healthy Boxer should weigh. My pup is 11month and he weighs
88 pounds. Is that Average or he is big?

Our boxer is 21/2 and only 65 lbs, but we think he is small for a boxer. However, he still manages to take up the entire bed at night. I woudn't worry too much about the weight as long as he looks healthy, gets enought exercise, and doesn't resemble my husband's beer belly!

Hello from Texas too
We have a female six year old (Last year I lost my baby who was a male dark fawn) she is a fawn and white she is a little tall in the leg for a boxer and about 68lbs
When I was a child my parents raised, bred and showed Boxers so when I had four of my own and needed a good dog there was no other choice than a Boxer of course!
I just got the new board link the other day and finally had a chance to come check it out

Hello from San Antonio

Colin,

Welcome from a fellow Texan 3 hours west of Houston. I'll agree that this board is addicting, but there's so much good info and advice available. Looking forward to hearing about Rocky's adventures.

Cheers,
