To you boxer lovers,
Thank you for the replies. This is such a great web site and it is highly addicting. Your replies have been very useful and I appriciate them. Rocky is doing great and growing every day. Everyday Maddie seems to get smaller and smaller. I remember when I first brought Rocky home and Maddie towered over him. Now it is the other way around. Maddie, on the other hand, is not doing as well. Last night she broke one of her nails and today she had to have it removed. She is limping around, but shoud be back to her old self soon. Thanks again for the replies. Talk to you soon.

Welcome from a "Former" Texan (UTA Alum). I have a male that is 6 months and weighs 49 pounds, and year old littermates that weigh 71(m) and 54(f) - sounds like you're in the "good-n-healthy" range! Size can vary drastically as you have seen - so as long as the pups healthy all is good!

We have just picked out our first boxer puppy. She was born 5/10 so we have afew weeks until we bring her home. We are researching vets. Anyone who has lived in Austin have any recomendations? We live in South Austin, but we'd drive cross town if the vet was worth it.

Good to know that your in Houston too. Do you ever go to any boxer funtions? Does anyone know if there are ever any boxer gatherings around Houston Texas.

I am coming to Houston the first week in August with Betty and husband in tow. Some of the boxer parents are trying to get together then. Storri and Juno also live in the Houston area. Problem w/ Houston is that it's SO spread out! I grew up in CLear Lake and Juno lives out there as well, but Storri lives Northwest (i think?). Plus there are some others but I can't remember who? So we need to find a place that is somewhat close to everyone.

We'll post on the boxerbash forum w/ the details.

Welcome Colin, Rocky and Maddie!

Hi guys....Storri here. Yes I live in Northwest Houston area. We are spread out, but it really does not take that long to get from one end to the other (at least not to me...born and raised here so VERY use to traveling to get from one place to the other).

We need to continue planning our Boxer Bash for Houstonians. I believe we were tenatively looking at August 5th. Not sure where, but we will come up with something. Look forward to meeting all the fellow Texans!
