Boxer Pal
hi everyone i own a 2 year old boxer named rocky. he has been my fist boxer and i dint really research the breed beforehand. i always liked the look of the boxer. i had a rottweiler for 8 years before him so their energy level have been very different. if anything i have learned that boxers, or at least mine, are very loving, smart, energetic, and stubborn. they are characters for sure.
anyways my boxer got into some trouble with animal control for getting out of the yard. i have a wood fences that are messed up and i have been trying to fix for him ( 1 down 2 to go). i tried a dog run (trolley thing) and he kept getting loose from 2 different collars and 2 dog harnesses (then tore them up.
) bought him an outdoor covered kennel and he dug out after 1 month. he went into 1 neighbors yard and chased a chicken for a bit and then went back to my yard, although it was the neighbor on the other side that called animal control. that really got him in trouble and and i had to give him up to doggy jail for a week. i now have had to keep him in my mothers house until i fix the fences (2500 just in material and no help from either neighbor although they are common fences) the one that called animal control offer to give me 300 out of 1250 in material.
so i thought it was time i should instead work on him and have for a few months now been working on his manners instead and giving him more exercise. that's my story and im here to educate myself to that i can better educate my boxer. any help will be appreciated.
