Hello all,

I'm Chris, a 24 y/o from Dayton, Oh.

First time Boxer owners here. Our new addition is Cooper, he is a 17 week Reverse Brindle with white chest and paws. Everyone comments on him being the darkest Boxer they've seen. He looks remarkably like the other reverse brindle Cooper on this board, except obviously smaller. Some people won't even believe that he's a Boxer. We picked him up at around 8.5 weeks, and he's been doing well since then. Now he's growing like a weed and is all legs.

On a side note, I lurked and read many of your suggestions as to choosing a puppy, and would like to thank all of you for your knowledge.

Hi!

Hi Chris! We have a brindle male boxer that will be 4 months old on the 24th of this month. We got him when he was 9 weeks old and I have been AMAZED at how fast he is growing!! I'm trying to figure out if our pup is of average weight - the vet said that he is quite large for his age. As of Sunday, he weighs 40 lbs! Is your dog about this size, too? Thanks!

Wow!

Actually, he's about 29 lbs right now. When we first got him he wouldn't eat regularly and it was like it was a last resort for him to eat dinner. Finally he started adjusting and eating and he took off in height. If I remember correctly at 8 wks =8 lbs
12 wks=17 lbs
16 wks=24 lbs

His mom had 12 pups on her first litter, and all survived. I'm wondering if that's why he's a bit below average? He's actually above average in height, but just a bit below in weight. Vet says he looks perfect though, So that's good enough for me.
