Madison, to be exact. have been lurking here for quite some time. finally decided to register. I'm looking to get my first boxer and am pretty anxious about it. Can't wait to find the perfect one.

Welcome to BW. I am from Gadsden. Not terribly far from Madison. Did you know that there is a rescue in Jacksonville, Al? I foster for them. Glad to see another Alabamian on BW.

Glad to be here. yes, i am aware of Rockin "P" Rescue. i think i would rather have a younger Boxer than what they have for rescue at this time. but i have their site bookmarked and will check back often.

on a side note, are you aware of any good breeders in the area? i would appreciate any info.

Welcome to BW! We live in Montgomery, got our 2 year old, Samson, in Selma and Leilani, our 4-month old, came from a family here in Montgomery. Good luck to you in your search for a boxer, if you ask me, they are all perfect! If my husband would let me, I would have a house full of them!

FYI - Some rescues will not post puppies due to the overwhelming response that they get (most not so great). If you're serious about rescue, it's better to be put on a waiting list. Puppies come through rescue more often than one would think. And if they DO post their pups, they will go fast and will probably all go to applicants who have been waiting the longest, not new applicants.

Just something to think about.

I live in Madison as well!

I am glad to see another boxer lover in Madison. Me and my Harry went to paws in the park on Saturday and he had such a great time playing with the other boxers. We just bought a house with a big fenced in back yard off of Slaughter road and are moving in on the 29th. We are so excited!!! Good luck on the search for your boxer. I can not even begin to tell you how wonderful they are.

Thanks for the reply. and congrats on the new home! I live off of Gilespie in Colinwood Estates (also new homeowner, in June). My g/f just bought a Chihuahua and we were there on Saturday (Big Spring Park). is your boxer brindle? that's the only boxer i saw there.
