I just joined the site and wanted to say Hi to everyone out there.
I've been in love with the breed for many years and actually had a boxer that I unknowingly purchased from a BYB. At the time, both my wife and I were working 9-5 jobs and our poor boxer pup had to be crated during that time. By the time we got home and let him out, he had an immense amount of pent-up energy to be released. It took me a solid 25 minutes of playing with him just to get him to relax a bit to begin training. Needless to say, this was not an ideal scenario for our new pup.
About 3 months into us training Blake, a good friend of mine contacted me to ask if we knew of any good breeders in the area. He works from home and has lots of land (hard to come by in our area) so I found it a great opportunity to suggest our boxer to him. Blake has been enjoying his time there ever since!
Now we are starting to look again and have found a breeder in Pennsylvania that we like and shows all of their dogs (one dog in the near lineage was the #5 boxer in the US!). They come highly recommended from other reputable breeders and we will be taking a trip there on Saturday!
I look forward to ownership and learning a ton from the great people here!
