Hello from Zoey and Wiley! We are excited to be members of this forum! My boxers are my kids! Love them to death. I look forward to sharing experiences with everyone. Wiley has been my absolutely perfect and healthy baby! He is fawn a male and 1 yr and 4mo old. Zoey is my medical mystery. She is 1 yr old. I guess you would consider her a reverse brindle. She is practically black. Zoey is in the process of recovering from Steroid Responsive Meningitis and has recently been diagnosed with a heart murmur. We have an appt to see the cardiologist at her next vet visit! These are frequent for us. If anyone has experiences about any of the above please share. Positive or negative it helps me to understand what shes going through :( My poor little girl

Welcome to BW and Hello back at you from Kansas! I have 2 boxers as well. Arabella is my healthy girl who is 4 yrs old, but my boy has some health issues including his heart. He, however, is an older gent of 10 yrs and was healthy up until around his 8th birthday. He was then diaganosed with a mct (mast cell tumor, a common cancer in boxers, tho' not usually life threatening.) and hypothyroidism. The mct was removed and has not returned, and he is on thyroid meds. When a different bump popped up, a heart arrythmia was found as pre-op meds were given. So he sees a cardiologist every 6 mo's as well. He has responded well to his meds for that.

I live in Overland Park, and we have a great cardiologist. He is attached to a local emergency care facility and hospital that has also fixed Thor's eye after it became ulcerated last year. (totally my fault, as I accidently poked him I the eye.)

Welcome to BW from myself (Claire) and Fudgie. Hope Zoey feels better soon and you can get help from the vet / cardiologist. The worst I've been through is a bad bout of fever caused by something she ate 4 months ago. Was really scared at the time, thought she wasnt going to make it, hope all goes well with you.
