Still looking in Arizona
Thank you everyone for making me feel so welcome. I am still in search for a puppy. I found one breeder who seems pretty reputable but she already has a huge waiting list for the litter she has coming in about a week. She referred me to another person she recommends who I left a message for but haven't heard back. (Granted, it has only been one day) I have been getting ready for a puppy since Christmas, buying everything I will need for it. I didn't realize it would be this hard to find one. I didn't know much about where to find one. I already knew that the pet stores were one of the #1 places not to get a pet. So I was actually going to get one out of the newspaper. After alot of searching on different websites, I came to realize getting one out of the newspaper is a bad idea as well. Even if they say their litters are AKC ceritified. Very disappointing. So now after 3 months of making sure we are ready for a puppy, it seems we are going to have to wait much longer for one. I even thought about getting one from out of state, but the idea of a puppy flying possibly by itself under who knows what kind of environment doesn't make me feel very comfortable. No matter how bad I want one. From the websites from breeders I can find here in Arizona they mention they don't breed their dogs very often, which I am very glad to hear, but it also means that I might have to wait on a waiting list for who know how long. Did anyone else have a hard time finding you boxer pal?

Hi everyone, the person I was waiting to hear from who I got referred to from the person who had a full waiting list referred me to another friend of hers. She had a full waiting list as well. This 3rd lady who I talked to sounded great, doesn't sound like a long waiting list that I can be added to for her litter of puppies she has coming up in April. She was full of info. I think I talked to her for about 45 min or so. Maybe I have found my soon to be boxer pal, I can't wait. I am so excited.

Have you tried your local boxer club? Most states or large areas have one (there are 3 that I know if here in CA). I would try to google boxer club in Aizona and see what happens. That is typically a good place to begin to find a reputable breeder.
