Couldn't agree more with the previous replies. This is my first boxer but I have had dogs all my life. Each and every dog is special in their own way but I must say I have never had the pleasure of being a part of a website like this. It is fantastic to have all the support and knowledge available at your fingertips. We might think our questions are somewhat stupid but all of a sudden you have so many people saying "yer - my pup did that too" or "that is unususual - you should see a vet about that" etc, etc. The great thing is all the responses are "true to life" - they come from average people who are actually experiencing these things.

All the info is free but just keep in mind that for any medical issues you should always consult your vet - don't let the online diagnosis suffice no matter how much someone may sound like they know what they are talking about. They are only relating their own experiences to you which is a great help - but that is all.

Boxers are such a playful. lively, funloving, people loving breed - at least that is what I have learnt so far.... my boy is only 15 weeks old but "gotta love him" lovicon ... he has such an expressive face (as they all do).

If you are energetic and ready for a fun ride which will hopefully last at least 10 to 15 years get a boxer!!!!

Best of luck

Boxer Pal
Hello and Welcome

We're new to BW. May I suggest a Boxer rescue or animal rescue to find your new companion. You'll be amazed at the fine animals people no longer want and turn-in to these great organizations. The cost of adoption is also much less than buying a young puppy. Many of these dogs are fully grown, but only 2-3 years old and often require less training than a pup. Just food for thought. Good luck! You'll love the Boxer breed.
