I woke up at 5am this morning will the sore head from hell, got up took some pain killers and came back to bed but couldn't sleep! i'm now in work most of my day i'm working on my PC and it's really not helping the head!

A migrane maybe? Headaches are the worst. Hope you're feeling better soon.

I know how headaches/migraines can be.
My wife gets severe migrains alot and they even caused her to have a very mild stroke a few years back.
She has completely recovered from it but still has a hard time with words.
She wants to say something but has a hard time remembering the name of the item she is talking about.
For example if she wants to tell you about our new boxer she may hesitate and for the life of her cant remember the word boxer.
This doesnt happen very offten but it sure makes her mad when it does.
Doctors have put her on several different meds. and none of them seem to keep the migraines away and only one of them has been able to knock them once she gets one. But it does take a day or sometimes a few days for it to go away.

There is some evidence (studies) that suggest melatonin may help prevent migraines.
You can do a search on the web for melatonin and migraine and come up with some of the articles that have been written.
