Have You Ever Been Re-Gifted??

Last night my BF's family had their christmas get together. The way they do things is every family brings a present and then it gets a number, all the numbers go into a jar and then each family draws a number. it We ended up drawing the number to the present that his aunt brought. She's a lil out of it anyways so I couldn't wait to see what she had brought. We unwrap it and to our surprise it's a nice blender. When we finally got home we took the blender out of the box and a piece of paper fell out of the box with it. It ended up being a receipt. I wasn't trying to be nosey or anything but this was a nice blender and I was wondering how much it was. Well as I get looking at the receipt I see a lady's name and either part of a debit card or credit card number. I showed it to Patrick and he told me that the name was a friend of his aunt. Then we noticed the date on the receipt....11/27/2003!! Oh now we were a victom of re-gifting!! I figure though if all re-grifts are as nice of the one we got then go for it!! I just thought that was a funny story and was wonder if anyone else had ever been re-gifted!!

Hummmmm. I am sure that I have been re-gifted, but have no proof. If I ever do get that sort of a re-gift item I sure won't complain!
I have never re-gifted, I am way to afraid to get caught! I have tons of stuff that were gifts that I will never use, wear or look at again. Maybe it's time to e-bay!

I know a woman who has an entire closet of gifts she has received and whenever there's an occasion, she just pulls one out. For my college graduation, she gave me an embroidered pillow that I swear was 10 years old.

LOL!! At least it was a good gift, we have gotten some pretty sucky re-gifters ...once we got a vase that the box had water damage and was moldy on the inside!! LOL...we figure it was sitting in their basement for a while before they re-gifted that one!!! :D

That is sooo funny. My sister is a big recycler. She always waits till after Xams to hand out her presents to family and friends. One year, I offered to help her wrap, and wouldn't you know, two of them were gifts that we had just recently given her! ~ Cathy

I don't know for certain if I've got a re-gift. But I have re-gifted All through the year at work we get Blockbuster gift cards for different occasions. I save them, then give them to the mail delivery person and the newspaper delivery person at Christmas time. Everybody's happy
