If both of my puppies are registered, and I have lost the papers, is there anything that I can do? Especially if I can't get in touch with the breeders. There has been a lot of evacuations due to the flooding down here. I really want to get these puppies registered!!

Unless you are planning to show or breed your pups, which I hope breeding is not the case, those papers really hold no value. If those plans are not in the future, save yourself the hassle unless you wanted to frame them and hang them on the wall. LOL

No, I absolutely do NOT plan on breeding or showing them. LOL..I just thought I needed them. I won't worry about it then. Thanks!

The only reason other than breeding I could think of to register a dog is if you live in an area with pitbull restrictions. Because some ignorant people in the world actually confuse boxers with pits.

If you want to do things other than conformation showing, like agility and obedience, you still have to have the papers if you want to participate in AKC events. I have limited registration on my Libby, and cannot show in conformation, but I a can show in the others.

I had initially lost the registrations for Bella and I asked the breeder to get me another set so that I could send them in. There is a fee the breeder has to pay AKC to do this so I simply re-paid the amount to the breeder since it was my mistake.

My pups are CKC registered. Not AKC. I really am just going to have my dogs as pets. I don't want to deal with the extra hassle.
