Harley is really sick!!

Harley is home again still don't know whats wrong with him his temperature is back to normal and he is still the same just laying there he is on a boiled chicken and rice diet and is eating well he isn't poohing enough. The vet said she couldn't get a good view of his spleen because of his thickness but it doesn't look right. We have to take him in again on Monday for tests and nurse him until then. I had put him on lakota for dogs for his back leg he has an acl injury and we have stopped that and bought the bottle in for them to check the ingredients. I don't know what would cause his body to shut down like that my breeder told me she thinks it was shock. Any suggestions? can you remove a dogs spleen?

I am phoning the vet today dh dropped hiim and picked him up yesterday he was back to kind a of him old self for a while last night and then I let him outside with foreman and something happened his face was funny he tried to take a treat but wouldn't I petted him and he screamed again It seems everytime he goes to the bathroom he gets bad. I think its poohing. Or Foreman could have hurt him so we are letting him out by himself but he just lies there most of the time I am not happy with the way he is acting. I guess I just want an answer and dh doesn't ask enough. I am off work for 2 days so I will nurse him the vet told us if he stops or doesn't eat to bring him in right away but I need to talk to her I want to see if she checked his thyroid and kidneys. I guess if hes spleen needs to come out she wants to get him stronger before she operates. and thats what she did with my other dog Willy when he was around 6. But back then she kept him at the vets for a week now she prefers for you to look after them at home. I know if hes ok we will have to change his lifestyle and keep Foreman away from him more, I know Foreman steps on him all the time.
