hello

I don't know what to do about Molly, my 14 month old. she is losing large amounts of hair when you brush her. her coat is shiny from the fish oils, but has a moth eaten look. the hair loss is restricted to a coarse patch along her back. she has been to the vet, checked for mange, changed her diet, on oils, and shampoos, antihistamines, and still nothing works. in my opinon, I think she is allergic to the carpet and somthing air born.don't know for a fact. allergy testing is too expensive and I am running out of options. If you can help that would be great.
thanks
jason

My first piece of advice would be to use the search engine here & run a few searches on things such as 'Hair Loss', 'Allergies' & "Seasonal Allopecia", I'm sure you'll come up with pages & pages of information that maybe of some assistance.
Just out of interest, amongst the tests that your vet did, did he / she run a full thyroid panel test on Molly?
It might also pay to run a search on the Thyroid as well.
I'm sorry I can't be of more assistance.
I hope you get to the bottom of this real soon. :)
