Gus has lung cancer..need prayers and advice

Today we had a huge scare.

My husband let Gus out in the am for his potty break and he had a fainting episode. He had one last summer when he was tearing around the back yard like a 2 year old, but that was 8 months before he was diagnosed with cancer and a heart problem.

He has been such a trooper and I fear his lung cancer may be weakening his heart even more now. He is on meds and I know he is not in pain, though we restrict his activity a lot now. He coughs like he has been now for 3 months, and I wonder how he can be so strong with everything going on in his body.

I just pray when it's time he doesn't have to suffer. Today was frightening and extremely upsetting to my husband. Need prayers and good thoughts!!!

thanks to yeveryones healing vibes and prayers, Gus has had a few much better days. We upped his heart meds dosage a bit and it is all we can do for now.

Later this week I am due to take them both to the vet for their annual exam. Needless to say I hope that Elvis is in good health and after everything we have gone thru with Gus I hope all goes well.

Thanks again everyone and boxerworld. It is soo good to know there are so many others like us out there.
